Reflexology Lymph Drainage

Reflexology Lymph Drainage (RLD) is an evidence based, award winning, reflexology technique built on the same principles as Lymphatic Drainage Massage/Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD).  This ground breaking technique focuses on stimulating the lymphatic reflexes on the feet using reflexology, with the aim to cause an effect on the lymphatic system within the body.  Lymphatic drainage is often used to support symptoms of lymphoedema such as swollen arms/legs as well as auto-immune conditions. RLD may be used similarly to support clients.  Fluid volume can be measured in any limbs affected at beginning and end of sessions to determine any reductions.

Reflexology for Palliative Care and Life-threatening Illness (e.g. Cancer)

Receiving a diagnosis of a life-threatening illness such as Cancer can be an incredible shock resulting in huge uncertainty, emotional and physical trauma. Reflexology can help by improving general well-being which in turn can improve quality of life.  By doing something for oneself, patients can feel a sense of taking control in a situation where control is often lacking. Sleep and stress are also often impacted with a life-threatening diagnosis and Reflexology sessions can aid this. Treatments are tailored to the individual and can be adapted to your specific needs e.g. shorter time, gentle pressure, performed on your own bed.
